Project Description

This piece was about the search for synthetic breast milk, and this section carried the weight of explaining that actual scientific process. It had to be scientifically accurate, easy to follow and visually entertaining. The animation had to illustrate complicated processes that take place on a molecular level, inside the human body, but scientific illustration is typically very detail oriented and can be dull and difficult to understand. If we assumed the audience had little prior knowledge on the subject, we had to create a more emotional approach that could provide a sensory experience that can engage a wider audience. We did this by creating fluid motions with a warm and inviting color palette that celebrates motherhood and nursing across a diverse set of skin types.
