Sesame Street Friends is Sesame Workshop’s new global version of Sesame Street that was developed to reach children around the world who don’t currently have access to a version of Sesame Street.
For the initial launch across Africa and Southeast Asia, the Sesame team partnered with BLOCK & TACKLE to create a cohesive visual identity for the show and its marketing assets. Our concept is all about movement, imagination, and having fun with newfound friends. The Show Open is a playful and energetic introduction to 6 main Sesame Street characters by way of a clever magic line device that travels from scene to scene to reveal, interact, and showcase the characters’ unique personalities. The collaged and hand-made style gives the show a tactile and accessible look that carries throughout the episode graphics – from the open to transitions to the credit roll – and across the marketing toolkit.
