John Black

John Black is the founder of CYPHER a creative sound design and original music studio based in Toronto. Since launching in 2000, CYPHER has designed for curated art, feature film, broadcast network, motion graphics, commercial, AAA gaming, interactive, site-specific installation and mobile devices. Clients have included Apple, Adobe, Microsoft, NBCUniversal, Google, Nike, Dolby Laboratories & ESPN. Both alone and with a team of collaborators, CYPHER continues to evolve and permeate, actively obscuring the division between sound design and music.
