We embarked on a magical journey starting from the Eastern Gate in Hsinchu. The century- old building was joined by a surrounding projection spanning 110 meters wide and covering 180 degrees, combining ancient and modern elements from both reality and virtuality. Stereo sound design and surrounding lighting effects create a splendid audiovisual experience.
Technological elements in the opening scene embody Hsinchu’s image as a “Tech City”. Visuals are presented in vertical and horizontal dimensions, creating an immersive and futuristic atmosphere.
Taiwan’s rich natural and cultural landscapes are depicted through hand-drawn art and vivid colors. Indigenous animals and plants appear in corners and athletes perform in between, forming the core image of Taiwan.
Everything comes to a sudden stop. The streets lose their bright colors, and the heavy downtown traffic vanishes.
Nevertheless, where there is light, there is hope. Starting from Hsinchu, we light up the sky again with hopes and dreams.
